Accuracy Testing
Accuracy testing was performed by using the OASIS to measure the diameter of 0.3750" dia gage pins. The testing was performed using 10 Parts, 3 Trials, and 3 Operators. The Parts and Operators were sequenced in random order.
Following are the results of the testing:
- Accuracy = 0.0001" (2.54 microns)
- Repeatability = 0.0001" (2.54 microns)
- Reproducibility = 0.00004" (1.02 microns)
- Resolution = 0.0001" (2.54 microns)
NOTE: These are total values, NOT +/- values.
Gage R&R
Based on a tolerance of +/-0.001", Gage R&R is as follows:
Part Variation = 1.2 %
Equipment Variation = 5.0 %
Appraiser Variation = 1.9 %
GRR = 5.4 %
