Software Maintenance & Upgrade Policy

The purchase of a new OASIS Inspection System will include license for the latest version of the
OASIS software, as defined in the separate End Users License Agreement. The following describes
the policy on maintenance, updates, upgrades, and optional modules for the software:

1. Updates to the OASIS Inspection System software will be provided to existing customers at no additional charge, as they become available. Examples of included updates are:

  • Maintenance releases. These are software releases specifically for bug fixes. GPC will use reasonable efforts to correct any bugs in the software to substantially comply with its documentation, provided such bugs are replicable by GPC and confirmed to arise directly from the unmodified OASIS Inspection System and corresponding software.

  • Improvements to existing software functionality or minor software updates. These may include bug fixes and other enhancements to existing functionality. These are not new version releases (e.g. v1.1 to v2.0), but instead are update releases within an existing version (e.g. v1.1 to v1.2).

  • A major upgrade to the software that adds substantially new or different functionality. These are considered a new version release of the software (e.g. v1.1 to v2.0).

2. Optional Software Add-On Modules can be optionally purchased by the customer. Pricing for these items will be determined at the time of release and will be quoted separately.

  • These consist of optional software modules that may be purchased separately from the core software as add-on functionality. These optional modules are not required for the operation of the core software.

NOTE: Some software updates and add-on modules may require a software download, installation, configuration, calibration, system reboot, or other action on the part of the Customer.
